1. Who creates the content

Packs in Synapse are created by users: question and answer texts, titles, descriptions, images, video and audio.

The service provides an editor and storage but is not the author of these materials.

2. The uploader's responsibility

By uploading material you confirm you are entitled to do so: it is yours, or you have the rights holder's permission, or the use is permitted by the law that applies to you.

Responsibility for uploaded material lies with whoever uploaded it.

3. Rights stay with the author

Synapse does not claim ownership of your content. The rights you have remain yours.

The service needs only a limited right in order to operate: to store the material, technically copy it for backup, display it and deliver it to participants inside Synapse — while the relevant pack is available in the service.

4. There is no pre-screening

We do not pre-check every uploaded file for the uploader's rights: this cannot be determined automatically.

The absence of pre-screening does not relieve the uploader of responsibility and does not prevent us from acting on substantiated reports.

5. How to report an infringement

Via “Contact the administration”, category “Copyright”. If your report concerns a specific pack, open the pack page and use the “Report” button — the pack will be filled in automatically.

6. What to include

There is no need to attach identity documents, contracts or other sensitive papers. If anything further is needed for the review, we will ask separately.

• which material infringes: the pack and, where possible, the specific question;
• what exactly is used without permission;
• why you believe the rights belong to you or to the person you represent;
• how to contact you if clarification is needed.

7. What happens next

The report reaches the service administration and receives a status you can see in your profile.

If the report is substantiated, access to the material may be restricted: the pack is hidden from the catalogue or withdrawn from publication. The pack record and its published versions are kept — already-played matches and other players' statistics depend on them.

Where material requires immediate restriction, access is closed at once and the notice is sent afterwards.

8. The author is informed

The pack author receives a notification: what was done and why. Content is not removed silently.

The author can respond by contacting the administration: explaining that they do hold the rights, or that a mistake was made. If the explanation is well-founded, the restriction may be lifted.

9. Repeat infringement

Systematically publishing other people's material without rights leads to losing the ability to publish packs and, in serious cases, to an account block.

10. False reports

A knowingly false claim of infringement, and using this procedure to pressure another player, violate the Community Rules with their own consequences.

11. Limits

We handle reports within the capabilities of the service and do not act as an arbiter in rights disputes between parties. A dispute over ownership of rights is for its participants to resolve, through legal channels where necessary.
